| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST December 16, 2013 "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift." (2 Corinthians 9:15, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson of Iceland (island in the North Atlantic Ocean). KANO KATSINA FULBE OF NIGERIA (KAH-no kat-SEE-nah FUL-bay) - Many of the Kano Katsina Fulbe people are shepherds of sheep. It’s not surprising to see some of them taking care of their lambs as if they were their own children. God sent His Lamb into the world--not so that we should take care of Him, but so that He would grow up and become our Shepherd, taking care of us. He gave up His kingdom to become one of us and give His life for us so that we might have eternal life with the Father. During this Christmas time, let us remember to pray for all the Kano Katsina Fulbe to come to know the Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and to accept Him as the Shepherd of their lives. NORTH AFRICANS IN MADRID, SPAIN - Sara* is North African. She is also a new mother in her early 20s. Her mother passed away about 10 months ago, and her siblings are in their homeland, trying to cope with the loss. Despite living out of her country for several years, she has not learned the national language well enough for spiritual conversations. A believer has given Sara a DVD about the life of Jesus, and she recently shared with her from her mobile phone an audio recording of the “Creation to Christ” stories in her heart language. Many North Africans are non-literate and/or don’t speak Spanish well enough for spiritual conversations. Please pray for God to use the DVDs and oral methods to help North Africans see their need for Him and their inability to ever be good enough, through works, to get to God.
