Please pray today for President Michel Martelly of Haiti (island southeast of Cuba). MBUNDA OF WESTERN ZAMBIA (m-BOON-duh) - Two months ago, you were asked to pray for a Mbunda pastor to “go back to the basics” and persevere in the calling God had given him. Missionary Gerri Helton writes excitedly about how the Lord has answered your prayers: “Lloyd* is the pastor of a Baptist church in western Zambia. In depression, he had wanted to resign a few months back, but today we visited his church and ‘amazing’ is the only word to describe the turnaround that has happened. Pastor Lloyd was radiant! He preached on Matthew 28:18-20. The church’s theme for this year is evangelism, and his preaching was ‘filled with the Spirit’! He stayed after church to talk with the youth and to prepare them to go this week to another church to sing. It seems that now that Pastor Lloyd is supporting the youth, they are supporting him in return. There were 80 people in attendance at church, and six Bibles were bought! The women even did a singing/speaking drama!” “Praise You, God Most High, for hearing the prayers from the United States and from the heart of Pastor Lloyd. Thank You for answering! May Your name be lifted high at his church!” (*pseudonym) RUSSIA - Several Baptist representatives serving in Russia will be leading a Training for Trainers (T4T) multiplicative discipleship training event in Novosibirsk, Russia, on December 11-13. They are expecting up to 20 participants for the training. Please pray that each participant will immediately make use of the training material and begin sharing with those around them in order to start many new small groups.
