"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Rui Duarte de Barros of Guinea-Bissau (western Africa, between Senegal and Guinea).

DHAKA, BANGLADESH (DAH-kah) - “We praise God that Nandita* lives! Nandita, age 5, attends the Light of Life Center in Dhaka. When the call came in late September that a van had struck her in a hit-and-run, we feared that her tiny body would not survive such a blow and begged the Lord for her life. With a large bump on her head and chest pains, Nandita had her first surgery on her mangled leg an hour or so later. When she awoke from the anesthesia, she told the nurse, ‘I have to go to school tomorrow.’ Amazingly, Nandita missed only two days of school--and she was back at church too. Normally she would go with several of the Light of Life girls, but this time her father had to carry her. About two weeks later, Nandita’s father received Isa (Jesus) as Savior. The Lord took a terrible accident and worked it for the good of Nandita and her family. Praise the Lord that He not only spared Nandita’s life, but He used the accident to draw her father into relationship with Him and to bring glory to His name! Please pray, as Nandita now faces yet another surgery to graft skin onto her wound.” (*pseudonym)

LOMWE OF MALAWI AND MOZAMBIQUE (LOHM-way) - An influential elder walked 12 miles one way every week in October, in temperatures of more than 100-degrees, to hear chronological Bible stories taught by missionaries and national ministry partners. This elder only has access to a falsified Bible produced by a religious cult and carried to the area by a schoolteacher from the big city. He has been begging the missionaries to bring Bible teaching to “Double-Decker” village, claiming that no one there has ever heard such a message. Rejoice that our Lord has a “man of peace” (Luke 10:6) in “Double-Decker”! Teaching will begin this month. Ask the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of people there to convince them that they can only have a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
