| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST December 17, 2013 "He sent the message to the Israelites, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all." (Acts 10:36, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India (southern Asia). BANGALORE HOSPITAL, KARNATAKA STATE, INDIA (BANG-ah-lohr) - Thank you for praying for more Christian doctors to join the staff of Bangalore Baptist Hospital. This needs to be a continuing prayer request. Particularly this month, ask God to provide a Christian surgeon and a Christian pediatrician. Pray that those medical staff who are believers will share their faith regularly with colleagues and patients. PEOPLE OF RICHLANDS, EAST ASIA - A believing scientist with his doctorate volunteered to give lectures for college students on the plausibility of a Christian worldview, using science to support it. The first lecture had 40 to 50 students in attendance, and about half of them were unbelievers. The lecture was well received, and a handful of students indicated that they would like to know more about God and Christianity. Please continue to lift up these lectures, asking that the students who attend will be challenged to “think outside the box” of what they have been taught traditionally (no God, Big Bang Theory, evolution, etc). Ask that many students will have a hunger to know the Creator of the universe and have a relationship with him.
