“It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24)

WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Emanuel Mori of Federated States of Micronesia (between Indonesia and Hawaii).

NORTHERN YEMENI ARABS OF YEMEN (YEH-muh-nee) - There are not many Northern Yemeni believers and due to heavy persecution, they live mostly in secret, so raising their young children to follow Jesus is particularly difficult. One brother tells of how his son tried to correct his teacher when she told the Muslim version of the story of Abraham. This innocent interjection in class nearly brought his family to ruinous persecution. Since that incident, this brother has decided not to tell his children about his faith until they are old enough to handle the truth with more discretion. Can you imagine having to choose between raising your children from a young age to follow Jesus or being violently persecuted? Pray for believers in Yemen to have wisdom about how raise their children.

PEOPLE OF FOUR CITIES BETWEEN TWO RIVERS, CHINA - There’s a butcher who doesn’t look like what you might imagine a butcher to look like. If you saw her on the street, you would never guess that she chops up pork for a living. She can be found behind the counter at the market with her makeup on and hair done and dressed in a flashy outfit, high heels, and a bloodied apron! She likes to talk as she’s smiling and hacking away with a large cleaver at a customer’s order. One day she asked a believer, with motions, about the sign of the cross (a Catholic ritual). “I see it in Western movies sometimes,” she said. This conversation opened a door to share the Gospel, until another customer came up. Being pressed for time, the believer left her with a tract. “Oh, is this about Christianity?” she asked. “My close friend is a Christian. I don’t really know about it. I know they like to sing.” The believer was upset in her spirit: How can a person have a close friend who claims to be a Christian and not know what it’s all about? Pray for the salvation of this beautiful woman so that she will know the beauty of Christ. Pray for the growth and boldness of her friend and of believers everywhere.
