“For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:20, NKJV)

Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, encouraging you to pray for those who have invested their hearts in learning more about Jesus.

Last month, several godly men graduated from the seminary-level Bible School held in Nkoya-land of Western Zambia. Just after their momentous graduation, these men had to say goodbye to the IMB missionary who had been in their area and in their lives for the past five years and who had spearheaded the formation of the Bible School. These men must feel a multitude of emotions. Apprehension. Excitement. Life is about to get very real. Now is the time when they must live out their faith . . . on their own.

“Any 3”--Anyone, Anywhere, Any Time--this is the Muslim evangelism strategy that is being shared with Sub-Saharan African Baptist churches through workshops. Churches are excited about this method of sharing that is culturally appropriate. In one workshop, 14 teams of two went out to share their faith and saw 33 people accept Christ. Give thanks for God’s saving grace.

The Leadership Equipping and Development (LEAD) program is a four-year course in which participants study 24 subjects. When they complete, they receive a Certificate of Completion. Three LEAD groups are completing their four-year program this month. Praise the Lord for the men and women who have faithfully attended and participated, and who are using what they have received to better equip the churches for which they are responsible.

* Please pray for LEAD graduates, asking that they will be faithful to continue studying and sharing what God teaches them--to the end goal of seeing the birth and growth of many new churches and the advancement of God’s kingdom.

* Pray for the continued boldness of those in “Any 3” training to share their faith and follow up in discipleship with new believers.

* Pray that these Nkoya men in Zambia will be compelled to speak the name of Jesus without fear.
