“Everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:8)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2: 1-2). Please pray today for Premier Dr. Otlando Smith of British Virgin Islands (northeastern West Indies).

DHAKA, BANGLADESH (DAH-kah) - In July, you were asked to pray for six newly baptized believers to become firmly rooted in their faith and to lean fully on Isa (Jesus) to help them withstand the storms that surely would come. M has suffered greatly since her baptism day. Before she received baptism, her Muslim husband gave his permission for M to follow Isa and be baptized, though he himself did not make a decision to trust in Isa. After M’s baptism, however, he began abusing M verbally and physically, took a second wife, threw M out, and told all the neighbors that M was now a Christian. He then gambled M in a game of chance and lost her to another man. The man who won her kindly told her that he would not take her or harm her. After this, M disappeared with her two children, ages 4 and 1, for an entire week. Finally, she called her pastor to tell him that she was staying with relatives and looking for a job. Pray that the Lord will watch over these three. Her son has had health problems and had to be hospitalized this spring. Ask that M will be able to find a good job so she can care for her children. Please pray also for the conviction, repentance, and salvation of M’s husband.

OUTER RIM PEOPLE, EAST ASIA - As the monsoon months wear on, many people have been displaced or have lost homes and possessions due to flooding. Flooding is heaviest in the flatlands south of the mountain ranges. Please pray for those who have lost much. Pray for the churches to reach out to those who have been hardest hit with the compassion and love of Christ.
