| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST September 20, 2013 “But from there, you will search for the LORD your God, and you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul.” (Deuteronomy 4:29) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2: 1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada (northern North America). EUROPEAN PEOPLES - Statistics show that nearly 99 percent of Europeans are living in spiritual darkness, but personnel serving with IMB’s European peoples affinity group are working hard to dispel the gloom by shining the light of Christ into that darkness. The process is slow and difficult, however, and a nearly impossible task for the less than 700 workers. Prayer is essential in order to break down the barriers of resistance and to make hearts hungry for and receptive to the truth. Will you consider joining with this affinity group for a Day of Prayer for European Peoples on October 20, 2013? Intercede with them to our faithful God--the One who can do the impossible and unimaginable--to bring awakening to the people of Europe. (More information and a prayer guide will be available on the website.) FULANI OF WESTERN NIGER (foo-LAH-nee) - Imagine traveling to a distant city to seek medical care. When you arrive, you have trouble communicating, since your language is spoken by only 10 percent of the population. You are from the bush. You have no relatives or friends to help you navigate the hospital system. To add further frustration, you are given a list of medications that you must find at a pharmacy for the doctors and nurses to use for your treatment. This scenario plays out every day for Western Niger Fulani who must travel from their homes in the bush to the capital city for medical treatment. T is a Western Niger Fulani believer who helps other Fulani when they come to the city for treatment. He helps them to find medicine and gives them information about the hospital. He also prays with them in Jesus’ name and shares about his faith. Pray for T to have wisdom and courage as he shares with other Fulani who are followers of a world religion. Ask God to use this help from a believer to touch the hearts of those who need the Great Physician.
