| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST September 26, 2013 “Leave the children alone, and don’t try to keep them from coming to Me, because the kingdom of heaven is made up of people like this.” (Matthew 19:14) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2: 1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Emmanuel Nadingar of Chad (western Africa). ISAAN STUDENTS OF THAILAND (EE-sahn) - Isaan believers, with assistance from IMB personnel, summer students workers, and a volunteer team, have been involved in a village ministry in recent months at three elementary schools. A local pastor and his wife tell Bible stories weekly after the students have studied English with the volunteers. In one of the villages, several of the fifth- and sixth-grade boys have shown a lot of interest in learning more. They ask questions and are reading the New Testaments that have been given to them. Praise God, who is at work in the lives of these children! Pray for several adults to be “persons of peace” (Luke 10:6) in this village and for the ministry team to know the Lord’s leadership in this work. Pray that this work will develop into a church in this local village. NORTH TOKYO, JAPAN (TOH-kyoh) - In September, Franklin Graham and his organization will be holding a special revival crusade in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake/Tsunami devastation area. North Tokyo Team members Kevin and Donna Qualls and their children live in Sendai, which is in the heart of this area. A volunteer team from a church in Georgia will be participating in this event, and there are Southern Baptists involved in many aspects of it. Due to the crisis, there was a Gospel breakthrough to the Japanese last year that had not previously been seen. Now two years later, the Japanese in this area have adjusted and normalized, meaning that hearts not already yielded to Him have the potential of going back to the condition they were in before the disaster struck. In light of this, the revival event in this area presents a wonderful opportunity for the Qualls family. Please be praying for this family as they reap the harvest from the seed sown by this crusade and other believers during this time. Also pray for the 83 local churches (averaging about 27 people each) in this area that have the opportunity to respond to the lost and hurting here. Lives are in the balance, and the workers are few! Pray that God will supernaturally increase the abilities and effectiveness of the believers and missionaries here in Japan.
