“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2: 1-2). Please pray today for President Xi Jinping of China (eastern and central Asia).

SOWETO, SOUTH AFRICA (soh-WEH-toh) - “The community of Tshepisong, on the northwestern edge of Soweto, South Africa, is a dark place,” writes the Soweto Evangelism Team. “A pastor who used to work there met a missionary on our team, and when the South African pastor found out where he was working, he kept repeating, ‘You need lots of prayer, oh yes, lots of prayer. That is an evil place.’ We are still asking God to bring believers together in Tshepisong to become a church. Pray for strong, dedicated leaders to emerge. Only God can change hearts.”

SRI LANKA - “Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold” (Mark 4:8). Earlier this year, Pastor M. had the chance to travel with a cross-cultural worker to a church-planting movement forum where he learned more about CPM strategies. At that training, one of the men sharing taught about finding the “hundredfold man.” The teacher encouraged each church planter present to seek the person who would yield a hundredfold and then spend time with that person. As Pastor M. considered each person the Lord had given him to mentor, A. kept coming to mind. With Pastor M.’s intentional mentoring and encouragement, in one month A. shared the Gospel with approximately 250 people and many prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior! These new believers are now being formed into groups and being discipled by A. Pray for those who prayed to receive Christ to be sincere in their faith and obey God’s Word as they learn it. Also pray for Pastor M. to continue to spend special time with A., teaching him how to move these new believers from discipleship groups to healthy house churches.
