“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” (Psalm 4:1)

WORLD LEADERS - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla of Puerto Rico (eastern Caribbean Sea).

BASQUE OF WESTERN EUROPE (bahsk) - “I will admit that holiday time in another country, far away from your family (especially while pregnant), can be a little tough. My husband and I found ourselves feeling pretty discouraged in the month of December, exhausted with cultural wear and tear. We cried out to God for the strength to get through and for Him to make Himself glorified in our struggle. We made our prayer supporters aware of our difficulties, and within days of disclosing our discouragement, we began to receive an outpouring of love and support from our non-believing national friends! Looking back now, it’s no wonder that the Lord chose to use our national friends. Through their gentle love and the ever-present comfort of God, our joy in the culture and our strength to continue on was restored. Please ask the Lord to use such moments to reach in deep and touch the hearts and the lives of our dear national friends.”

NEW LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST - In God’s communication with Malachi, He declared, “For My name will be great among the nations, from the rising of the sun to its setting. Incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name in every place because My name will be great among the nations” (Malachi 1:11, HCSB). Later this month, up to 60 people will attend Missions Expo as they explore ways to make God’s name known among the nations. Please pray that each one will hear a clear call from God during the Expo, revealing to them the “where,” “when,” and “how” of that call. Ask the Holy Spirit to give them a spirit of willing obedience to be used in every place to offer pure sacrifices of praise to our God, who is worthy!
