Workers in East Asia recently saw a calendar and noticed an unusual, even tragic, deletion for the month of April. Good Friday was indicated, but not Easter. It is not known if it was intentional or accidental, but it sets one to thinking: No Easter? No resurrection? No forgiveness. No hope. Jesus said over and again that He was going to be betrayed, condemned, mocked, beaten and killed. And then, three days later, He would rise. Praise our Father that it didn’t stop with the events on that terrible Friday!  What does Easter mean? When this question was asked of the people of Great Britain, a compilation of answers was received. Those responses include: a nice long weekend; nothing, because I am no longer burdened by the induced guilt of religion and I now have a happier and more fulfilled life; an opportunity to eat chocolate; a day the stores are closed and I can’t shop; a time people claim to be religious. What these answers obviously did not include is the true meaning of Easter as a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus after He paid for our sins on the cross.  * Please pray that people in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland will discover the true meaning of Easter this year and will learn about the love and hope of God.  * Intercede for the people in the cities of the SWAN area, East Asia that they will hear and accept the Good News of Jesus Christ. * Praise God for the resurrection of His Son on the third day! *** Our offices will be closed Friday, April 18, in honor and celebration of Good Friday and Easter.
