April 1, 2014

A NOTE FROM THE PRAYER OFFICE: On Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, IMB staff will be attending our Annual Staff Retreat, so “Today’s Prayer will not be available on those days. Thank you.

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9a)

WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Erna Solberg of Norway (northern Europe, west of Sweden).

Prayer requests from Eddie W. Cox, director of IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy, to “Today’s Prayer” intercessors:

Thank you for clicking through to “Today’s Prayer” and praying with me.

The entire home office staff will be on retreat this week, April 2 and 3, at the International Learning Center outside of Richmond, Virginia. They will be led in worship by Mark Willard and the Praise Team from Sherwood Baptist Church, Albany, Georgia. The church’s pastor, Michael Catt, and nature photographer, Ken Jenkins, will be preaching and guiding Bible reflections. Please be in prayer for this team as they travel to Virginia on April 1. Despite the long drive, may they arrive refreshed and spiritually sensitive to be used of God to bless IMB’s personnel. May the Holy Spirit infuse every aspect of the retreat. May all experience God’s presence and hear and respond to His voice in unprecedented ways. All to the glory of God!

Other significant events planned for the month for which I encourage you to pray include the following:
