“. . . the gospel is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes. . . .” (Romans 1:16, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV).  Please pray today for Governor Eddie Calvo of Guam (island in North Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines).

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN PEOPLES - Last month you were asked to pray for a new church start that reaches out to truck drivers who travel all over West Africa. Praise God for the 14 truckers plus four port workers who came to the first worship service! The power and grace of Jesus was shared through the Bible story of Jesus walking on water. Equally encouraging was the way the “mother church” supported this service. The pastor and five members met together at the restaurant before the service and prayed for those who would attend. Please continue to pray for these new believers and this brand-new body of Christ. Pray that they will grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus. Pray for the “mother church” to continue to support them and see the value of this unique group.

UDMURTS OF RUSSIA (ood-MERTS) - “Backpacks loaded with Udmurt Bibles and bus fare are all that accompany us on the trip. With a desire to humble ourselves before God and the Udmurt people, we step out in faith that He will provide all that we need. We hit the road, looking for a ‘person of peace’ (Luke 10:6)--a kind heart in an Udmurt village who will provide food and shelter--and people who will listen to the only thing we have of worth to offer: the Gospel. Pray that our faith will increase as we see God provide in miraculous ways. Get on your knees and cry out with us for the Holy Spirit to move among the Udmurt people and for many to come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.”
