Friday, November 14, 2014 To hear an mp3 recording of the PrayerLine, click here. http://media1.imbresources.org/files/218/21815/21815-117508.mp3 “Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’  If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.” (Luke 10:5-6, HCSB) Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, asking you to pray for individuals who are making an influence in their communities even before coming to salvation. Ilnur* is probably one of the kindest people in his Central Asian city, as he is willing to help people in need and greets friends and strangers alike with a warm smile. He is a Tatar man and young English teacher who is very interested in philosophy and in discussing ideas with other teachers and professors, most of whom profess some version of atheism or agnosticism. The developing relationship between Ilnur and a believing worker has led to spiritual conversations and has provided the worker an invitation to share who Jesus is in a more formal dialogue with others.  In a tiny little Turkish town nestled between a lake and olive tree-covered mountains, two co-workers had opportunity to share Gospel truth with a young man who lives in a nearby village. Newly married, Serkan* lives with his extended family, and after requesting both a Bible and a DVD about Jesus from a correspondence website, he gathered his family and they all watched it together. When he contacted co-workers about meeting face to face, he wanted to know if it was all right for him to highlight in his Bible as he read so he could ask questions when they met. Later, he pointed out his questions from his highlighted text in the Book of Matthew. He is the only one in his family interested at this moment; but he has planned to meet again, this time in his village.  * Please pray for Serkan to encounter Jesus in a personal way as he reads, and pray that the Word spoken in this village will yield much fruit. * Intercede for the Tatar people of Central Asia that they--including Ilnur--will come to know the Savior. * Give thanks for those who serve as people of peace in the spread of the Gospel. *name changed
