I’m living on the wide path and I’d sacrifice anything to get to the narrow path--to get to God.” Missionary Amanda Turner writes: “As we’ve been sharing the Gospel in Tsabong, Botswana, many Tswana people have shown a great interest--even a desperation--to know who God is. One is a woman named Lilli*. We first met her when we were witnessing house to house. We began to share with two men sitting outside her house (one was Lilli’s husband), while she busily prepared dinner close by. When we asked if we could return the next day, both men gave excuses as to why that wouldn’t be possible. That’s when Lilli, who’d been silent most of the time, spoke up. She asked if we could return because she wanted to hear more about how to know God and live for Him, so we came back the following day. She has since accepted Christ. Lilli is one of several who have placed their faith in the living God and have begun to form the foundation for His church there.” Two months ago we asked you to pray for the village of Irodo in the far northeastern part of Madagascar, and God has heard your prayers for this village that, until recently, was unreached--without even one believer living among them. Praise the Lord that after several months of teaching and telling God’s story and then showing the ‘JESUS’ film, there is now a group of about 15 believers in Irodo. * Please pray for these new believers that they will walk with Jesus daily, faithfully surrendering every part of their lives to the Lord. * Intercede for these new believers in the village of Tsabong that they too will grow in faith. * Ask God to continue drawing the lost to Himself. *name changed |
