He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me.” (Psalm 66:20, HCSB) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson of Iceland (island in the North Atlantic Ocean). AMAZON PEOPLES OF THE AMAZON RIVER BASIN (AM-uh-zahn) - Xipi* is a 4-year-old boy who was abandoned by his parents in a river town. His uncle found him crying in an empty house and brought him to live with those serving at the Christian Training Center. Xipi is the first one up in the morning and goes around waking everyone else. He has a tiny Bible that someone gave him, and he carries it around with him. God has plans for this young boy. Please pray for the directors of the Christian Training Center as they raise little Xipi. Ask God to give them the wisdom and patience to educate him according to biblical principles. Pray that God will use Xipi to take the Gospel to his own people. (*name changed) SENUFO SUPYIRE OF MALI (SIN-oo-fo su-PEER-ay) - “We were planning to have our first volunteer team join us in Mali this month, but due to various circumstances, we felt it best to delay those plans. The church from Louisiana has sent teams to other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, but this will be their first time coming to Mali. Please pray for wisdom for both us and their missions committee as we decide when the team should come in 2015 and what ministry they should have while here. We have a lot to learn since this will be our first time to host a volunteer team and they will be learning to make adjustments for the differences between Mali and where they have served before.
