“I sought the Lord, and he answered me.” (Psalm 34:4a)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Vincente Ehate Tomi of Equatorial Guinea (western Africa, between Cameroon and Gabon).

Prayer requests from Eddie W. Cox, director of IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy, to “Today’s Prayer” intercessors:

Thank you for clicking through to “Today’s Prayer” and praying with me.

As we begin the month, please take a few minutes to ask for God’s blessings on the following IMB events.

Oct. 14-Dec. 13: Pre-departure Field Personnel Orientation (81 adults and 33 children)

Nov. 1-2: Sub-Saharan Africa Base Camp 1
Base camps are training and networking conferences for churches that are interested in impacting the unreached and/or unengaged peoples of Sub-Saharan Africa. They are great opportunities to hear testimonies of God’s mighty acts and to discover new ministry techniques. Typical workshop seminars include: discipleship, leadership training, cultural insights, and much more.

Nov 2: American Peoples Affinity Group’s Partner Connect Training
The American Peoples affinity group is asking SBC churches, associations and conventions to “Train and go!” They have developed one unique training model for all of their partners to take advantage of before they head out to the mission field. It is called Partner Connect Training and covers the following topics: Biblical Basis for Missions, Lostness, Worldview, Orality, Empowering Nationals, Help That Doesn’t Hurt, Spiritual Warfare, and other practical aspects of the engagement process of impacting unreached peoples.

May God’s blessings flow . . .

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to pray for these very important needs. Your prayers make a difference!

Most sincerely,

Eddie W. Cox, director
IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy
