“God, hear my prayer; listen to the words of my mouth.” (Psalm 54:2)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima of Gabon (western equatorial Africa).

BASQUE OF WESTERN EUROPE (bahsk) - “I know one is not a big number . . . but it’s a start,” writes a Basque Team member. “After investing the last three years in different women’s lives, in faith, I took the step to begin a women’s Bible study in a large city. In the end, I had only one person show up. The rest of the women had to cancel because of illnesses, work schedules, and family demands. My one participant just seemed to hang on every word. She asked a lot of good questions and left on ‘cloud nine.’ Please lift up this newly organized Bible study group. Pray that the evil one will be hindered from interfering with the other women who want to attend this Bible study. But mostly, ask the Lord of the harvest to shine His face and His glory on this new outreach group.”

THEOLOGICAL EDUCATORS OF THE CENTRAL SAHEL (WEST AFRICA) - Thirty-eight people groups in Nigeria remain unengaged. These people groups live where extremist activities are currently taking place or the threat of danger is high. In October 2013, an evangelical pastor and his wife and family were killed, and the church was burned. During the same time, extremists shot and killed 50 agricultural university students (said to be Muslim) in their dorm rooms as they slept. Nigerian Baptists have one university and multiple seminaries and Bible schools around the country. Pray for God’s protection for the students as they study in an ever-increasingly volatile country. Pray also that in spite of potential danger, God will call Baptist students as well as others around the world to go sacrificially to the Nigerian unengaged people groups so that they might know Christ.
