In total, 450 people (most of them Muslims) heard the Gospel during the last student mission trip to East Africa . . . 450! About 50 of them said that they want to follow Jesus. Follow up will require dedication and wise organization. “The Word of God is here, the Word of God is here!” shouted a young mother to her friend working in a nearby field. GraceLife Baptist Church of Christiansburg, Va., began to engage the N people of Zimbabwe. Through homestead-to-homestead evangelism, nightly evening services and discipleship classes, the Spirit of God worked mightily through volunteer teams that came in August and September. A group of new believers is now meeting in a local primary school in a rural Zimbabwean village. A national pastor will travel about once a month to disciple the group until teams from GraceLife return in 2014.  A hard-working Tunisian Arab mother became a believer through the testimony of her grown son just before the month of Ramadan. Although she was new to the faith, she wanted to share what God had done in her heart. So each evening when friends and family came around to visit, she would sit them down at her kitchen table and share the love of Jesus. Fatima* can’t read, so when she was given a copy of the Word, she quickly passed it on to her husband to read it for her. Pray that Fatima will continue to share the truth she has received and that her obedience will produce an abundant harvest. (*pseudonym) * Please pray that as Fatima’s husband reads Scripture to her, he, too, will become a believer. * Ask God to encourage the faith of these new believers in Zimbabwe so that they will stand firm and proclaim their new life to others in their village. * Intercede for engaging churches like GraceLife to have the mind of Christ as they plan strategic ministry in their adopted communities.
