| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST November 21, 2013 “Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You.” (Psalm 61:1-2a) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana (western Africa, between Cote d’Ivoire and Togo). ANTANKARANA OF MADAGASCAR (ahn-tahn-CAR-ah-nah) - There is no church of any kind in the large village of Irodana--at least not yet. This coastal village in the far northeastern part of Madagascar is made up of fishermen and farmers. Deeply tied to Islam and ancestor worship, these people have a great need for the life-saving truth of God’s Word. This village is unreached with the Gospel mainly because it is physically difficult to reach. Pray for missionaries Michael and Michelle Allen as they begin teaching in this new area, and ask for the people of Irodana to be convicted of their desperate need for Jesus Christ. May a reproducing, Bible-centered, Christ-led church be started in Irodana. LAST FRONTIER - She loved learning English and committed to weekly meetings. Mrs. H heard about the Creator through “Creation to Christ” and many other stories. She kept searching for peace, but could not find it . . . peace eluded her. Recently a worker received an e-mail with the news of her father’s death. It crushed the worker’s heart, knowing that her father had not said yes to the Most High God. Upon returning to the city, the worker immediately visited Mrs. H’s home. Again, Mrs. H wanted to hear a story, hoping it would bring peace. The worker gently wiped the tears from Mrs. H’s eyes and said, “You don’t need a story. You need a Savior.” As the worker prayed for the Spirit to work in Mrs. H’s heart, there seemed to be an understanding of the words shared as never before. “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27, NIV). Pray for the Word to penetrate hearts. Pray for Mrs. H and her family to experience this peace by turning to the Most High God. Ask the Spirit to break through their fears of abandoning ancestor worship and draw them to Jesus.
