“I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help.” (Psalm 40:1)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Jyrki Tapani Katainen of Finland (northern Europe).

AR OF COLOMBIA (ahr) - National missionary Juan* has begun to travel once again monthly to “Pal” village, where he shares the Bible stories with a group of Ar people. Some of them are believers with a lot of misunderstandings of who God is, and others simply say that they are believers because they live in the village. They were told by previous church leaders that to be a Christian, they had to give up their language and traditional dress and cut their hair. They are open to the Bible stories and are beginning to change their view of who God is. Pray that they will have a clear understanding of the Gospel through the Bible stories. Pray for Juan’s physical strength and stamina, as he has a very long trip to make to and from this village each month. (*pseudonym)

HIGHLAND SINGERS OF CENTRAL ASIA - “This week I want to tell you about a woman we know. She is the mayor of the last village up in our valley, a very important woman in her area. Our non-profit organization has done several projects with her over the years, and we have a great relationship with her. This past summer, two groups of visiting believers were able to come and visit her village, and we are starting to explore some further partnerships we can pursue there. But more than that, she is very interested in Jesus and anything we can share with her. We have prayed with her every time we have visited, have passed on several films, and have even given her a Bible a couple of times. Her books disappear, as she loans them to family and friends, so we will be bringing her another one in Russian the next time we go (we hope to spend the night there as a family). Please lift up Daisy* and her family, asking that they will continue to pursue Truth and that we will be bold and clear as we share with her and her village.” (*pseudonym)
