The promise of heaven guided Francis to live life generously and obediently to the Lord. In 2010, IMB received a gift of more than $5.3 million for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Francis would make sure people heard the truth of Christ, even after his death. Missions is the ‘sugar in the cake’ of LifeWay student camps Since 1984, students attending LifeWay camps have given $11 million. The offerings come from students ranging from third grade through high school. Summer 2013 was the first time CentriKid partnered with IMB on a specific kid-friendly initiative – to meet needs of orphans in East Asia through a project called One Child. IMB worker brings Christmas story to those making nativities Women come to the mission field with a variety of backgrounds and skills. IMB worker Summer Cole (name changed) used her skills in business to help a village family who makes and sells nativity sets. One simple contact in a market led Cole and a national believer to this family to share the meaning behind their craft. Hands On student volunteers join real social networks to share the Gospel Hands On students in Prague learn that true social networking involves face-to-face involvement in people's everyday lives. “Meeting people where they are, loving on them – that’s what it’s all about,” says one Hands On student. ‘God can handle anything,’ Elliff promises new missionaries A service at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, N.C., honored 68 newly appointed IMB missionaries. “I was planning on making a name for myself in the corporate world,” one recalled. “But God showed me … that it was His name that really mattered.” IMB leaders report on taking the Gospel to ‘darkest corners’ In a report to IMB trustees during their Nov. 7-8 meeting in Charlotte, N.C., IMB strategist Drew Carson (name changed) shared the story of missionaries willing to pay the ultimate price – their very lives – for the Gospel. Recently, Carson visited missionaries who serve in “a place where it is not a theory that you can die for serving the Lord and proclaiming the Gospel.”  WorldView: Seeking the unseen kingdom The unseen kingdom of God cannot be found on a map, but it is coming – one soul at a time.
