Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST December 8, 2014 “For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” (Luke 2:30-32, NKJV) WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for Prime Minister Matteo Renzi of Italy (southern Europe). CENTRAL THAI OF THAILAND (tie) - Please pray for churches throughout Thailand as they prepare for their annual Christmas outreaches and presentations. Some churches not only use this time as an outreach focus for their own city, but they also work together with new church planters to bring the love of Christ to other unreached areas. Central Thailand is an area that comprises 27 provinces and approximately 20 million people. Less than .05 percent of those people believe in Christ, and in most cases, they have never heard of the love God has for them--a love that would cause Him to send His only Son into this world with the purpose of dying for their sins. Pray for blind eyes to be opened this Christmas. Pray for churches to proclaim boldly and love fully, and pray that the ears of Central Thai people will hear and believe. SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN PEOPLES - Persecution of believers in Zigua (pronounced zee-GOO-ah) villages continues, but God is our mighty tower, a stronghold against Satan’s attacks. Burnt to the ground by arson, a small Baptist church in a Zigua village continues to be a witness of God’s faithfulness and love among their Zigua neighbors, and God is blessing. Formerly 99 percent Muslim, the village is slowly accepting God’s love, and now almost 20 percent of the village has turned from their folk Islamic practices to new life in Christ. Pray for these new believers to stand firm in their faith against all obstacles. Pray for mature believers to walk beside the less mature, mentoring them in the faith much like Paul did with Silas. This is an isolated area among a much larger Zigua population, so pray for a movement of God to encompass the Zigua, turning them to the truth of God’s love for them.
