“The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had seen and heard, just as they had been told.” (Luke 2:20, HCSB)

Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, rejoicing with you in the coming King.

David* entered a smoke-filled coffee shop in Morocco and somehow spotted Neal* across the room. He boldly walked right up to Neal and announced, “I am a believer and have been for several years.” Neal was excited and confused; he had never seen this man before. David continued the conversation with another announcement, “I would like to gather a group of believers, in a part of town where there is no group meeting, so they can all encourage each other from the Word and in prayer. I would also like to have that group reach out in that community.” Neal thought this man’s boldness was admirable and said so. After finishing his coffee, Neal, a believer himself, left with much to think and pray about. David continued to drink coffee and counsel many men who entered and approached him with life’s problems.

After a family crisis, the Kessine* family of southern Tunisia was shamed by their community. The young adult children in the family began searching for truth, realizing that their traditional beliefs were empty. They found the Word of God on the Internet, and recognized it as Truth. One of the daughters had a dream about the Bible, and heard a voice say, “There is nothing above this and nothing under it.” They requested a Bible, and when the meeting was arranged, two of the sisters discussed the possibility of it being a trap. They finally decided that if they were going to die, they might as well die together. They met with followers of Jesus and received a Bible. Now the entire family is reading and studying the Word.

* Please pray for the Kessine family, asking God to use this family to transform their Tunisian town for His glory.

* Ask God to bless David in his plans for regular meetings revolving around the Word and prayer, particularly praying that Neal would be among those attending.

* Glorify and praise God for all that He is doing among the nations.
