“I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.” (Luke 4:43)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Raul Castro Ruz of Cuba (Caribbean Sea).

DHAKA, BANGLADESH (DAH-kah) - H is a lovely young woman who almost always has a pleasant smile. Last year, she planned to marry a man she met through a Christian ministry where she was working. A couple of days before the wedding, however, H discovered that he was having a relationship with another woman. This summer, H’s family discussed a marriage match with the family of another man. H wanted this marriage, even though she has been a follower of Isa (Jesus) for three years and the man is still a Muslim, as she once was. She so wanted this that she was ready to go against biblical counsel and forfeit her current employment teaching at a Christian center to marry this man. But when he tried to move the scheduled wedding date before the Muslims’ Eid holiday, H became angry and began to doubt. Then his family insisted on too high of a dowry price--more than her family could or was willing to pay. At that point, H felt relieved. The Lord has twice rescued H from marrying ungodly men. Still, H longs to be married. Please pray that the Lord will call a godly Christian man to marry her who will love her as Christ loves His church. Ideally, he, too, would be a Muslim-background believer. A Christian marriage such as this would more likely happen, of course, if H would confess to her father that she now worships Isa. Please pray for H’s courage and for her father’s understanding.

NORTH AFRICANS IN MADRID, SPAIN - N moved to Spain from a small village in North Africa when she was 18 years old to marry a man 10 years older than she. She arrived with a tremendous amount of hope. Shortly after arrival, N realized that her husband had an addiction to drugs and was involved with other women. With each passing day in her marriage, she realized that her husband was suffering from deep emotional and mental problems. Soon after the birth of their daughter, N’s husband had a breakdown and was institutionalized for several months. The marriage ended, and N found herself alone in a foreign country with two small children. She found a job and an apartment, and is a devoted mother. She has heard the Good News several times in her life but does not believe. Pray for N to know the healing, grace and love of the Lord, and to follow Him.
