I want you to know what I believe.” This young believer shares the Word with his friends and longs for the day that they will follow Christ. He knows that soon he will leave Gujarat, India and worries that his friends won’t have any more opportunities to hear the Truth. In 2006, God provided for the start of a learning center for young girls with little hope who were living in difficult areas of Bangladesh among people who saw them as “the lowest of the low.” These girls have become teenagers now, and 14 of them have asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. A group of believers recently visited Saudi Arabia to do an event with youth. At the last minute, they used a roll of masking tape to give each of the participants a nametag. For these underprivileged youth, being identified by name was a significant event. During each of the following days, the youth made sure that everyone had a tag with their name on it. While working with the Boitshoko Community Centre in Soweto, South Africa, the Soweto Evangelism Team has seen eight more people become believers. * Please pray for six Soweto youth who have started a Bible study with a missionary. * Give thanks that God already knows each of the Hijazi Saudi Arab youth by name and pray that they will come to know His Son, Jesus. * Ask the Lord to keep these teenagers of Chittagong, Bangladesh, strong and growing in their faith and that the seeds planted by this young Gujarati believer will take root and bear fruit in the lives of his friends. |
