"This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Juan Manuel Santos Calderon of Colombia (northwestern South America).

ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA (A-dis AH-bah-bah) - This summer a sizable group of young men as well as several women made a commitment to follow Jesus! It was an amazing time. Praise the Father for what He has done! They were very excited, and one of them said to the believers who had shared with them, “If you could come every week to teach us, that would be great!” These believers have never had a group of this size before. It has been difficult to find a time for all of them to get together. Would you please pray that the Father will work out all the details for this group to begin meeting regularly? After they made their decision to follow Jesus, the leader of the group said that there are many people in their area who need to hear this truth because they are following other ways. Would you please pray that these new believers will be faithful to share with others all that they are learning about Jesus and the Bible? Thank you very much for lifting up the people of Addis Ababa. The Father is using your prayers over and over again!

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN PEOPLES - Not many young men are coming out to the mission field to serve for two years as International Service Corps workers. This means that Niger personnel are rejoicing and are especially thankful for a young man who is getting ready to arrive in October to serve among the semi-nomadic Fulani. Pray for a smooth adjustment to the many challenges of the Sahel region, including learning a new language and culture and adjusting to the hot and dry climate. This land is so different that upon arrival, he will feel like he is in another world. Pray that he will persevere when everything around him is unfamiliar. As his understanding of the language and culture grows, pray, too, that his dependency upon the Lord will grow and give great joy. As he begins adventures in this new journey, pray for openings to share a witness and testimony of why he has come.
