"Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” (Psalm 4:1)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Administrator (nonresident) Jon Stanhope of Cocos (Keeling) Islands (Indian Ocean, south of Indonesia).

KHARKOV, UKRAINE (HAR-kov) - Ukraine is often referred to as the “bread basket” of the former Soviet Union. The rich, fertile soil of most of the country produces a bountiful harvest each year, and Baptist churches celebrate the Father’s provision with special “zhatva” (harvest) or Thanksgiving services. Church members will fill beautifully decorated tables and displays with fresh fruits and vegetables for the service, and then distribute the bounty to those in their community who are in need when the service is completed. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will use these celebrations in churches throughout the Kharkov region to draw many people into a personal, intimate, eternal relationship with Christ! Intercede for the hearts of believers to be filled with a renewed desire and commitment to be laborers in the harvest fields of Kharkov, Ukraine, to the glory and honor of God.

NORTHERN AFRICAN AND MIDDLE EASTERN PEOPLES - Many prayers went up for the creation of non-profit organizations that could help the community and provide families with training to make crafts, improve language skills, and also hear the Good News. Rejoice and give thanks to God that one of these non-profit organizations has started in a city and the process for gaining legal status went smoothly and rather quickly! Now the process begins for organizing and implementing ideas and strategies that will benefit those of interest. Pray for sensitivity to the needs, creative ideas, and favor with the people whom faithful ones are seeking to serve--while making visible the love of Jesus. Pray that at this location, those who are receptive to the message will become evident and they will ultimately come into the kingdom.
