| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST March 13, 2014 "He will stand and shepherd them in the strength of Yahweh, in the majestic name of Yahweh His God. They will live securely, for then His greatness will extend to the ends of the earth. He will be their peace.” (Micah 5:4-5a) WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Hifikepunye Pohamba of Namibia (southwestern Africa). ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA (A-dis AH-bah-bah) - A believing couple who live in one of the oldest Muslim neighborhoods in the city have been asking the Father for a very long time to bring people to their gate whom He has prepared to hear the Gospel. In the past few weeks, two of their neighbors have knocked on their gate and invited them into their homes. They are praising God for that! Will you please pray that the Father will continue to bring people to their gate who want to know about Him? Will you pray that in the same way that the Father opened Lydia’s heart to respond to the story of God (Acts 16:14), He will open many, many hearts in their neighborhood to respond to His story? Will you ask that the believers will be bold in proclaiming the Good News to their neighbors who are living in darkness? Thank you for interceding for the lives of their precious neighbors in Addis Ababa! BEIJING, CHINA (BAY-jing) - As a friend was sharing recently, he made this comment: “I asked a local pastor friend this question: ‘What do you see as the biggest need in the Chinese church today?’ I expected him to answer with, ‘More Bibles, new buildings, more freedom in what can be said,’ or something along the lines that we usually think about. Instead, my pastor friend said, ‘The biggest need in the church today is for believers to get along with each other.’” God does give believers instructions in His Word: “Love one another as I have loved you,” “encourage one another,” “be devoted to one another,” “serve one another,” “forgive one another” . . . you know many of these. He adds, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples” (John 13:35a, NASB). Pray for believers to go beyond studying and talking about the Word to actually living the Word in their daily lives—not only when things are going well, but when they disagree or are hurt or angry or disappointed. What a tremendous impact a life lived for Christ could have on a community that has little knowledge of Jesus!
