“What man among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:9-11)

WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Governor Eloy Inos of Northern Mariana Islands (North Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines).

HIJAZI SAUDI ARABS OF SAUDI ARABIA (hi-JAH-zee) - After the discovery of oil in Saudi Arabia decades ago, society became dependent upon guest workers to perform all but the most prestigious jobs. As the average age of Saudis gets younger and younger, and as more Saudis are being educated in foreign universities, there are not enough jobs to go around. Many of these youth and young adults are finding themselves with a lot of time on their hands. They are not satisfied with the status quo. They are unhappy with the lack of jobs, the restrictions placed on them by society, and the contradictions of their traditional beliefs. They are seeking something to fill the emptiness in their lives. Pray that God will use this dissatisfaction to lead young Hijazi Saudi Arabs to Himself.

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN PEOPLES - You know you’re an MK (missionary kid) when you have a hard time answering the question, “Where are you from?” you know how to pack a suitcase really well, you feel odd being in the ethnic majority, and your parents’ siblings are strangers to you but you have more than 50 “aunts” and “uncles” whom you are not related to at all. MKs are an interesting group. They grow up with a broad worldview, learn multiple languages, learn to appreciate different cultures, and tend to make friends very quickly--especially with other MKs. Activities that are common for many children and youth in churches in the United States (like summer camp) are not always things that MKs get to experience. This June, MKs from the Central Sahel Cluster and the Western Gateway Cluster will join together in Senegal for a youth retreat. A volunteer team from Texas will be helping to make this happen. Please begin praying now for flights, visas, and the many preparations needed to pull together these youth from all over West Africa. Pray for safety in travel for the MKs and the volunteers. For some, this may be the first time away from their families, so pray for a calm spirit for the MKs and all of those moms and dads too. Ask God to speak clearly to these youth about His plan for their lives. Thank God for this team of volunteers who will take time away from their own families to minister to these MKs.
