| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST March 26, 2014 “. . . It is not by sword or by spear that the LORD saves, for the battle is the LORD’s.” (1 Samuel 17:47) WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Premier Toke Talagi of Niue (island east of Australia, south of Samoa). EUROPEAN PEOPLES - 800 million . . . can you envision what that number looks like? What size jar would you need to hold that many jelly beans or pennies? It’s a number that our minds can barely comprehend. It is also the number of people who call themselves Europeans. 800 million people spread across a vast continent . . . and nearly 99 percent of them do not have a personal relationship with Christ. Will you join the 700 members of the European Peoples affinity group in pleading with God for the salvation of these people? Ask Him to break down the barriers and remove the obstacles that are preventing Europeans from seeking Him. Pray that they will be convicted of the sin in their lives, realize their need for a Savior, and turn to Him in confession and repentance. SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN UNENGAGED PEOPLES - Tucked into Kebbi, the most northwesterly state of Nigeria, which borders Niger and Benin, is a little-known people group of approximately 30,000 Islamic people, the Baangi. A missionary researcher walked among the Baangi recently. After greeting people and observing the mosques, the question was asked, “Are there any Christians among your people?” “Oh yes,” the people responded. “We had one, but he died last year.” Pray that these unengaged and unreached people will become engaged, turn to Christ and life, and cease their endless march toward eternal death.
