| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST March 25, 2014 “Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria (western Africa, south of Niger). NU OF COLOMBIA (noo) - The Nu community of C was the first to receive the Gospel message. The majority of people in that community are baptized believers and have grown in their walk with the Lord to the point of seeing many concrete changes in their daily lives. They have grown in their sense of community and even in their concept of “church.” There is still, however, one vital piece missing: These believers have yet to recognize the need to share the Good News with those Nu clans that have not had access to the Gospel message. Pray as national missionaries John* and Lia* prepare and plan new chronological Bible stories and ways to address this issue. Ask that the believers will understand their call and the need to send people from among them to share the Gospel with other groups of Nu people. This will require the community not only to support the individuals who go, but also to care for their families while they are away. This would be a huge breakthrough in the strategy to reach the rest of the Nu communities with the Gospel message. (*pseudonyms) OSAKA, JAPAN (OH-sah-kah) - “Hanami,” which means “flower viewing” (of mostly cherry and plum blossoms), occurs every year toward the latter part of March and into early April. At this time, the Japanese gather beneath the blossoming trees to have an outdoor party. There they eat a boxed lunch and often drink alcoholic beverages while viewing the blossoms. There are many beautiful and famous places in Osaka for “hanami.” The missionaries want to take this opportunity to be out and about, looking for people to talk with about not only the beauty of nature set before them, but also about the One who created this beauty for mankind to enjoy. Please pray for spontaneous conversations to occur that will lead to sharing about the Creator God. “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him” (Colossians 1:16, NIV).
