The Nu community of C in Colombia was the first to receive the Gospel message. The majority of people in that community are now baptized believers and have grown in their walk with the Lord. They have grown in their sense of community and even in their concept of “church.” There is still, however, one vital piece missing: These believers have yet to recognize the need to share the Good News with those Nu clans that have not had access to the Gospel message. National missionaries John* and Lia* are preparing new chronological Bible stories to address this issue. The C community will need to be willing to support the individuals who go and also care for their families while they are away. Five Brazilian Baptist teams are visiting the Quilombola communities they have embraced. They are leaving their city environments to travel to isolated communities to visit in homes and share Bible narratives. R and J and their family are leading out in this ministry along with two volunteer teams from the United States. They launch a new work in the community of BB by working in schools. It is a challenge to cover many miles using various modes of transportation and arrive at the communities in a timely way. Churches in Mexico and Central America are sending missionaries to the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico where the percentage of Christianity is low. Families are moving to new cities, finding work, making new contacts, and starting Bible studies. * Please pray for national missionaries to adjust quickly and find open doors in Mexico. * Pray that God will give grace, wisdom, safety and stamina and that many Quilombolas will have transformed lives in Christ. * Ask God to help Nu believers understand His call to share the Gospel with other groups of Nu people.
