Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.” (Psalm 119:103-104, HCSB) Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, praying with you for of individuals who are studying God’s Word. Basque Team members of Western Europe have a friend who has been reading the Bible with them for several months. It really impacted them recently as they listened to him process his feelings about Christ dying for him. He shared with them how his heart was changing and said that if God’s plan is to forgive us through Jesus’ death, then he shouldn’t be resistant to that. Eight persons sat in a circle on the floor of the 15- by 15-foot room that is home to Duc* and Thuy* and their 2-year-old daughter. Most all new believers, these Vietnamese believers eagerly searched in their Bibles to find the next Scripture reference, the first ones finding it calling out the page number to those still looking. These young factory workers have a contagious faith and a vision for reaching their co-workers. “I really want a Bible. I want to learn more!” Praise God for the words An* said recently after some believers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, shared the Gospel with him. Such a desire could only come from the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Thankfully, the believers were able to provide a Bible. Four new Bible studies have just been started in Ho Chi Minh City with several attending who have not yet accepted Christ as Savior. * Please pray that An will make a decision to place his faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. * Intercede for the eight additional believers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam that they will be able to disciple those they lead to Christ and start a new church beyond their own. * Pray that the Lord will continue the work He has begun in the heart of this Basque man, and pray for wisdom and sensitivity for the team members.
