| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST January 16, 2014 “He has delivered us from such a terrible death, and He will deliver us. We have put our hope in Him that He will deliver us again.” (2 Corinthians 1:10) WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Hashim Thaci of Kosovo (southeastern Europe, between Serbia and Macedonia). EAST ASIAN PEOPLES - Celebrated by Chinese and Koreans, the Lunar New Year falls on January 31 this year. The majority of East Asian peoples worldwide will be engaged in family traditions, travel, cultural festivities, and cessation from work. Ask that God’s love will permeate the celebrations of East Asian Christians and that His Good News will be spread broadly. “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel . . .” (Romans 1:16). TUNISIAN ARABS OF TUNISIA (too-NEE-zhan) - Believers around the country are using Discovery Bible Studies (DBS) to help seekers interact with the Word of God. One couple prints off Bible passages in three languages side-by-side--Arabic, French and English--to share with their neighbors. After the neighbors read the passage, the husband asks them to retell the story in their own words. He then continues to ask them questions that help them discover God’s truth for themselves: “What does this passage mean? What do you need to do about what you have learned? Who can you tell this story to this week?” Please pray that many Tunisians will respond to the combination of God’s Word and loving relationships.
