| Prayer requests on the website are updated every Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m., EST January 24, 2014 “[God] is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20) WORLD LEADERS - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Najib Miqati of Lebanon (eastern Mediterranean). EUROPEAN PEOPLES - The European peoples affinity group has been challenged by their leader to sow 1 million Gospel seeds by 2020. Counting from January 1, 2014, there are about 2,200 days until the end of the decade. This number, if multiplied by 500 workers, equals more than 1 million. Intercede that Baptist representatives serving among Europeans will consciously seek to sow a seed, or better yet, to share the Gospel daily. Petition that this will become natural for every worker in the affinity. Pray that these Gospel seeds will fall on good soil this year and produce an abundant harvest. LAST FRONTIER - In one city with a minority Muslim population, because of the threat of more terror attacks, the local authorities have been carefully monitoring every Muslim student. Thus, an outreach effort geared toward Muslims and college students has not been going well. A similar outreach effort for local people in another city had to stop because the local religious bureau came there to check on the group. Please pray for the security matters.
