“I pray that your participation in the faith may become effective through knowing every good thing that is in us for the glory of Christ.” (Philemon 1:6, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan (southwestern Asia, north of Iran).

BELGIAN NATIONALS OF BELGIUM - “Batter up!” will be heard in the Bird Corner neighborhood outside of Gent, Belgium, this month for what may possibly be the first-time ever, as American baseball becomes the central activity of a day camp for kids ages 12 through 16. Will you pray that as bats connect with balls, hearts will connect with the love of God? Intercede that as youth learn to run bases, they will also learn to “run the race” of life with God as their coach. Pray for the volunteers coming from Florida to be examples of the change Christ has made in their lives to the believers and not-yet believers with whom they will work. Will you cheer for a “heavenly” home run?

JOLA-FONYI OF SENEGAL AND THE GAMBIA (JOH-luh-FOH-nyee) - It is the rainy season in West Africa, and so far, it has not arrived in the Casamance region of Senegal. Everything is dry, hot and dirty, and the people are beginning to worry about not having enough rain to plant crops and have a harvest. The animals do not have anything to eat, as everything has dried up. Please pray that the rains will come and that they will be sufficient for the needs of the people. Also pray that the Jola-Fonyi will know that the rains come from God and that He will provide all of their needs.
