And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1, NASB) Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, asking you to pray for the effective distribution of audio Scripture portions and Christian DVDs. Two men in Mozambique recently heard Nyungwe Scripture portions and Bible stories on a digital audio player. After the first man listened to it, he commented, “This is what we need. We really need the Word of God in our family and our area.” After the second man listened, the missionary asked him what he thought, expecting a simple answer. Instead, the man excitedly told the missionary about every story he had learned. Praise God that this man has given his life to Christ! The missionary had shared with him before in Portuguese, but God used his heart language to draw him to Jesus. More than 33 percent of the Indians who leave India come from the state of Gujarat, so it’s very likely that a Christian elsewhere in the world will meet a Gujarati at some point. Technology can be a wonderful way to share the Good News, so it is good news that a translation of the “Creation to Christ” story has been completed in the Gujarati language. Now, a set of videos can be downloaded and shared with Gujaratis--anywhere and anytime.  Workers among the Deaf in South America, Charles and Betty Thomas*, began partnering with a Bible translation team to make a DVD that could be used as a training and leadership development tool. Over a year’s time, they encountered problems, but praise the Lord that the “StoryOne” DVD should be completed this month.  * Please pray for these workers as they, together with the Deaf believers, travel to various areas of the country to reach the Deaf with the Gospel.  * Pray that the truths on the Gujarati “Creation to Christ” videos will be taken into the hearts of those who listen and will make a difference in their lives. * Intercede for all of those who will hear through these digital recorders with Nyungwe Scripture portions on them that they will surrender to the saving grace of Jesus.
