A believer in Sri Lanka writes, “‘It looks like you are going in circles,’ I said to a woman who had passed me three times in the temple. She answered in flawless English, ‘Most people go around to all the gods three times. Some go more or less, but it must be an odd number of times.’ I learned as we conversed that she was visiting from Canada, where she lives while studying across the border in Michigan. To my question, ‘What are you studying?’ she replied, ‘Molecular biology.’ Her response raised my eyebrows. She didn’t seem surprised when I asked her how someone so acquainted with the intricacies of creation could hold to the beliefs represented in that Hindu temple. She explained that no one really believes all the stories from this ancient religion, but it provides a framework within which she can seek after god as she understands him. She then described that god. ‘This god whom you seek sounds very much like the God of the Bible. Have you ever investigated the teachings of the Bible?’ She seemed a little embarrassed when she admitted that she had not, but then she said, ‘You know, I really should do that. I certainly have an opportunity in Canada where I live.’”  * Please pray that Christians worldwide will take the time to see the harvest of Sri Lankan peoples outside of their own front doors. * Intercede for this molecular biologist that through her pursuit of God, she will discover Jesus. * Give thanks that the One True God is majestic and wise, beyond our full comprehension.
