“LORD, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.” (Psalm 88:9b, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Administrator Superior Michael Aubouin of France’s Wallis and Futuna (islands in southwestern Pacific Ocean).

BELGIAN NATIONALS OF BELGIUM - “Can you imagine a party with 1.5 million or 2 million of your closest friends? Would it last for 10 days? Would there be group singing? Folk dancing? Enough spilled beer that your feet stick to the cobblestones? That’s what it will look like during the Gent Festivals on July 18-27,” writes Team Belgium. “With activities for all ages occurring almost around the clock, the festival draws people from all over Europe and, in fact, from around the world. Some this year will be from the United States, coming as they have during the past several years to take advantage of the host city’s hospitality and openness. They’ll share coffee and conversation with people who have partied through the night. Later in the day, surveys will be used to begin conversations in parks and other gathering places. As people seem open, conversations will go into spiritual areas, with the goal of sharing the Good News. Copies of John’s Gospel will be given as “thanks” to each survey participant. Beg God for each conversation to be a seed-planting moment for many, a time of cultivation for some, and a time of harvest for those with whom we’ve spoken in the past. Pray for seeds of faith to fall on good soil. Claim God’s promise that His Word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.”

PEOPLES OF NORTHERN MADAGASCAR - The only missionaries living among the Betsimisaraka (pronounced bet-see-mee-sah-RAH-kah) people of northeastern Madagascar had to leave Madagascar suddenly due to health reasons and aren’t expected to be able to return. Please pray for the new believers they left behind. After studying the Bible for a year, five men were baptized a week before their departure. These men have committed not only to continuing to meet together for Bible study, but also to teaching the Bible in another village. Pray for these men, who live in the city of Sambava, to rely on the Holy Spirit for understanding God’s Word, and ask for them to continue to grow in their relationship with Christ Jesus. Pray that they will plant the seed of God’s Word in the lives of other Betsimisaraka. Pray that new missionaries will be called to the Betsimisaraka, but also pray that the Lord will use these new believers and the ones they lead to the Lord to be His ambassadors for the Gospel among this people group.
