“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Chief Minister Herbert B. Hughes of Anguilla (West Indies, east of Puerto Rico).

BAPTIST CONVENTIONS OF THE CENTRAL SAHEL (WEST AFRICA) - Dressed in beautiful African cloth representing the countries from which they come, they sing God’s praises, dance before the Lord, and exalt Him in English, French, and many languages of their nations. The West Africa Baptist women come together as a region every two years for fellowship and instruction in the Word. Although the Baptist women’s work may still be underdeveloped in their countries, as they create relationships with others, they see that they are not alone and that God is sustaining others through like problems, and they “catch a vision” for what they may be and do for God. Pray for the Regional West African Baptist Women’s Conference that will be held in Togo in August. Pray for the planning committee and the speakers. The task is huge. Remember also the difficult, long travel the attendees will be undertaking. Pray that they will grow abundantly in Christ and be able to take home spiritual lessons to share with others.

EUROPEAN PEOPLES - Sports and recreation seem to go hand in hand with summer. Children, and adults as well, love to get outside and be active during the warm months of the year. This summer, IMB personnel in Germany and Austria will be trying to connect with children, youth and grownups through baseball, basketball, skateboarding, Taekwondo, football, and various other sports and activities. Intercede for relationships to be formed and for abundant opportunities for sharing God’s love and the Good News with those who participate. Petition that much fruit will come from these efforts.
