“I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:18-19a, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uruguay (southeastern South America).

CENTRAL THAI OF THAILAND (tie) - Throughout the world, teenagers are dropping out of church in record numbers. Please pray for evangelistic efforts that are being planned and organized for young people throughout Thailand. Thai leadership gathered in Pattaya last month and discussed the need to reach out to youth countrywide. They have come to realize that young people are the future of the church in Thailand. Several events have already been planned to reach this crucial segment of Thai society. Please begin praying now for the following: A major youth rally in Bangkok that is scheduled for October of this year, a gathering of young people from throughout Southeast Asia that will be taking place in October 2015, and International World Changer’s teams that will be coming to do outreach in both Chiang Mai and Central Thailand in the summer of 2015. Please pray for wisdom on the part of organizers. Ask that young people will be excited about inviting their friends to join them in these events. Pray that the hearts of the lost will be touched by the love of Jesus, to the glory of God.

MANDINKA OF WEST AFRICA (man-DINK-uh) - “On the outskirts of our village, women with babies strapped on their backs work tirelessly to tend the rice swamps, while nearby, men hoe row after row in the now-moist soil. The blistering sun beats down on them. This is the signal that the rainy season has started! It is a busy time, as farmers furiously plant crops that will support their families for the rest of the year. However, the month of June brought more than a time of planting. At sundown on June 28, the Islamic holiday of Ramadan began. This time of planting, when these poor farmers need every bit of strength they have to work, coincides with the month of fasting. The followers of Muhammad are not allowed to eat or drink anything (and stricter sects forbid swallowing one’s own saliva) during the day, in hopes of winning favor with Allah. Everyone is hot, lethargic and irritable, trying to fulfill this yearly sacrifice, and our hearts are breaking, thinking of all their suffering. In the Bible, Jesus calls to His followers, promising that His burden is easy. Please pray for these poverty-stricken village farmers, asking that they will hear Him call and receive the Truth.”
