“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1Thessalonians 5:16-18, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner of Argentina (southern South America).

MOUNTAIN YI OF EAST ASIA (ee) - A few years ago, when the Wang* family divided their inheritance, the two brothers began a feud that lasted for years. When the younger Wang brother became a Christian, his older brother harassed him, told him he was in a cult, and made fun of him in public. The feud continually worsened, until one day, “Older Wang” decided to cut the wire that brought electricity to “Young Wang’s” village home. Older Wang expected Young Wang to go to the government authorities as retribution, but Young Wang, being a new believer and not knowing what to do, asked a mature believer for advice. This believer reminded Young Wang of the Bible story they had just been learning, where Jesus said that we should be willing to forgive “up to 70 times seven.” Then he told Young Wang that he should actually apologize to his brother. Young Wang did just that, saying that a younger brother should never do something to upset his older brother. Older Wang was taken aback. He had no more ammunition with which to fight his brother. His outlook on Christians has changed, and his relationship with his brother has been completely restored! Ask the Lord to bring Older Wang to salvation and to continue to transform families in Yi villages with the Gospel! (*pseudonym)

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN UNENGAGED PEOPLES - In May, you were asked to lift up to the Lord the Islamic Foodo people’s unengaged status (only 1 known Christian among them) and their need of an Engaging Church to adopt them. Praise the Lord that a church in Nevada, who was considering engagement, has stepped up! Some church members have attended Base Camp (basic West Africa church-planting training) and are working out plans for their “vision trip.” Pray for this church and for Debbie, Teresa and Steve as they lead their church in going, sharing Christ through stories, discipling the people, and starting churches among the Foodo!
