“For my eyes have seen Your salvation. You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples--a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel.” (Luke 2:30-32, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for Acting President and Prime Minister Tamman Saeb Salam of Lebanon (eastern Mediterranean).

Prayer requests from Eddie W. Cox, director of IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy, to “Today’s Prayer” intercessors:

Thank you for clicking through to “Today’s Prayer” and praying with me as we begin a new year together.

I’m going to deviate from my normal monthly message, which focuses more often than not on IMB-related events. Instead, I would like for you to pray specifically for the individual members of our prayer office team.

Eleanor Witcher, Department Associate: “KOMpray” editor, “PrayerLine” editor, Children’s Forward Team Member, Web Content Management specialist, Contributor to “Commission Stories” (tabloid edition), department bookkeeper, conference leader, faculty member at the School of Prayer for All Nations

Joanie Marsh, Consultant: “Today’s Prayer” and “Weekly Prayer Highlights” editor, CompassionNet consultant, conference leader

Justin Hunt, Consultant: “PrayerPoints” editor, as well as prayer item editor for WMU’s “Missions Mosaic,” Guidestone’s “The Widow’s Mite,” etc., manager of the CompassionNet App, contributor to CompassionNet Pinterest boards, graphics designer, and much more

Cary Enterline, Consultant: social media editor--Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter, logistics coordinator for the School of Prayer for All Nations

Barbara Key, Administrative Assistant: Supports the entire team through varied tasks

Janice Wilson (volunteer): Editor of “Loving the Lost through Prayer” 30-day prayer guide, conference leader

Judy Steverson (volunteer): Editor of tabletop prayer, health, etc. reminders, which are placed on tables in snack and coffee areas

Please pray God’s abundant blessings upon each one of these committed team members as they minister to us all through CompassionNet’s varied resources. May the advance of God’s kingdom among all peoples be dramatically impacted through their work here at IMB . . .

Thank you for praying daily for IMB’s work around the world. As you pray, God answers in extraordinary ways. Remember, your prayers do make a difference.

Most sincerely,

Eddie W. Cox, director
IMB’s Office of Global Prayer Strategy
