“LORD, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.” (Psalm 88:9b, NKJV)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray for Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia (southeastern Asia).

LOMWE OF MALAWI AND MOZAMBIQUE (LOHM-way) - Recently (and unexpectedly) a door opened for chronological Bible teaching to begin in “Weaver Bird,” a very remote village in coastal Mozambique. As far as the missionaries can tell, the gospel has never been proclaimed there by any group. The village is most easily accessed by bicycle or on foot. The people of “Weaver Bird” practice African traditional religion; however, Islam has arrived via the vendors who arrive weekly to sell their goods on market day. In the first couple of encounters, the people of “Weaver Bird” told the missionaries, “It would be good to hear what the Bible says. Maybe it can answer our questions.” Pray for the people of “Weaver Bird” to have ears to hear the truth of Scripture. Pray for the missionaries as they continue methodically laying a foundation from the Old Testament, leading up to a full explanation of why Jesus came and why we all need Him as our Deliverer.

SOUTHERN CONE CONNECTORS: ARGENTINA, CHILE, PARAGUAY AND URUGUAY - “God has given us a burden and a passion to reach the very self-sufficient men and women of the eco-tourism industry of Corrientes province in northern Argentina,” writes the Southern Cone Connectors Team. “The most effective way we’ve found to connect with them is through contracting for their services as hunting and fishing guides. Working with them and treating them with the value God gave to them impacts them deeply. Bringing in believing outdoorsmen from the United States who follow the same strategy opens wide the door for us to begin a friendship and speak the truth of God’s love into their lives. We are planning now for a Shotguns N Fishin Poles event in the town of Esquina, Corrientes, consisting of 30 American Baptist volunteers. An undertaking of this sort requires a lot of organization. Please pray with us for clarity and discernment as we seek to work out the details and prepare for what God wants to do in the lives of the people of Esquina.”
