Students from Northern Africa and the Middle East come to the Central United Kingdom to get their doctorate degrees. Many bring their spouses and children. Hannan* is from North Africa, and there is unrest in her homeland. Her family usually receives a stipend for living expenses from their home country, but they have not received it for three or four months. They have been living meagerly off money they saved while receiving their stipend earlier last year. They are hoping that Hannan’s husband will complete his degree this month. They both have felt safe looking at and comparing teachings about Jesus with what they believe. Give thanks to God that the local church is rallying around the family to make sure that they have enough food until they either receive funds from home or finish their time in the U.K. A group of young university-age students in Uganda call themselves the Fellowship of Bible Believers and are making disciples among the Lugbara people. Their vision is to challenge, encourage and equip this generation to live in daily, right relationship with God through consistent and transparent small groups. At least one person has come to faith each month since August. This leadership team seeks wisdom and direction in planning for 2015 and 2016. The missionary family that has assisted them in launching this ministry will be on stateside assignment in 2016. The team is excited to fully transition leadership and reflect a more “Ugandan way” of doing things and their priorities. * Please pray for openness and unity as training and transition occur on the Ugandan leadership team. * Intercede for Hannan and her husband as they compare Christianity with their faith that they will have an awakening to the gospel. * Give God thanks for the cycle of learning and growth that spurs any of us into new arenas of responsibility and faith.
