“I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:18-19a, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray today for Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius of Lithuania (eastern Europe, east of the Baltic Sea).

CITY OF SOLDIERS, CHINA - For some local sisters in Christ, the month of January will be an exciting time, as they venture on a 10-day short-term trip to an unreached city not too far away. Please pray for their safety, healthy bodies, heart for the people, and many appointed times to share the gospel. Ask God to use this time for them to really see the need to go into all the world, and pray that some will be called to do the work on a full-time basis!

NORTHERN AFRICAN AND MIDDLE EASTERN UNENGAGED PEOPLES - Today the Jewish population in Belgium numbers approximately 30,000. Recently there has been a rise in anti-Semitism, and that has hampered the acceptance of the gospel--but not always. A young woman received in her mail box a letter that accused her of many atrocities and threatened her life. She had been open to the Light and now wants to know more. There are many like her in that country. Please pray that someone will go to the Belgian Jews and give them the hope they desperately need.
