“I call to You for help, LORD; in the morning my prayer meets You.” (Psalm 88:13, HCSB)

WORLD LEADER - “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). Please pray for President Abdulla Yameen of Maldives (southern Asia, south of India).

HIGHLAND SINGERS OF CENTRAL ASIA - “Our sister Linda* gave her life to the Lord a couple of years ago but, unfortunately, has not had adequate discipleship to know how best to grow in her walk with Him and abide in the Word of God. We talked about heart issues, and she asked me how she can combine the local faith with her belief in Jesus Christ. This was not surprising, since Highland Singers are taught to add parts of different religions to their personal faith. I lovingly but honestly told her that because of what Scripture says, she can’t; it’s not Jesus plus anything . . . it’s just Jesus. I feel quite convicted to meet with Linda for Bible study and faithful encouragement, but there are many obstacles: her husband is ‘very Muslim’ (her words), she has a young son, she runs a business, and she has responsibilities at her in-law’s house where she lives (and they are not open to other beliefs). Linda has great fear about sharing her faith and a great possibility of persecution, and yet she has a great desire to know God better and walk with Him; she feels that He is worth it all. I do not feel adequate for the task, so please pray with my team and me as we work through how to make disciples effectively here in this land.” (*name changed)

MARSEILLE, FRANCE (mar-SAY) - Team Marseille writes: “Last month we passed out Christmas gifts to the homeless. Please intercede for us as we continue to help those in need. Pray for us to be open to answering questions of why we are helping them and caring about them so much. Ask the Spirit to impress upon their hearts the joy of knowing Him, even in the darkest of times.”
