“My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.” (Psalm 71:15, NKJV)

Hi, this is Eleanor Witcher of IMB’s prayer office, asking you to pray for the spread of the gospel through Bible storying.

In Karnataka State, India, workers share, “Since the September 2014 workshop, we have seen 63 new believers and 11 new groups form! Praise God! Praise Him, also, for how we have been led to work with an amazing group of nine local leaders through the StoryTogether project. Lift up all the people who have heard the Truth and will hear it through the work of this project. “

There are chronological Bible storying groups in three Jola-Fonyi villages of Senegal and the Gambia. It is desirable for those who are secret believers to come forward for baptism and tell their friends and families about Jesus.

Recently (and unexpectedly) a door opened for chronological Bible teaching to begin in “Weaver Bird,” a very remote village in coastal Mozambique. As far as the missionaries can tell, the gospel has never been proclaimed there by any group. The village is most easily accessed by bicycle or on foot. The people of “Weaver Bird” practice African traditional religion; however, Islam has arrived via the vendors who arrive weekly to sell their goods on market day. In the first couple of encounters, the people of “Weaver Bird” told the missionaries, “It would be good to hear what the Bible says. Maybe it can answer our questions.”

* Please pray for the Lomwe people of “Weaver Bird” and the Jola-Fonyi of these three villages to have ears to hear and hearts to accept the truth of Scripture.

* Intercede for the 11 new groups that have formed in India, asking that they will be led by our local leaders to form healthy churches.

* Pray for missionaries in every culture as they seek to methodically lay a foundation of faith from the Old Testament, leading up to a full explanation of why Jesus came and why we all need Him as our Deliverer.
